Mapanga Youth Organization was formed in 2018 to provide youth service programs in southern region of Malawi through capacity development, advocacy and impact mitigation.

When on board your first assignment will be to start a fundraising campaign.Mapanga will provide guidance for you to have quick and successful fundraising.

Role brief.

The Grant writer is virtual non- paid volunteer position that works directly with the fundraising project officer.The Grant writer will be responsible for researching , writing and coordinating the Grant application process, management of proposals to foundations and cooperate sources in pursuit of fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

Write high - quality Grant proposal narrative, applications and supporting documents.Establshing and maintaining personal contact and relationships with charities and non- profit Organizations contacts and program officers.Maintaining calendar to ensure timely submission of letters of inquiry, proposals deadlines and reports.Prioritise projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner,meet deadlines and manage supplemental materials required for proposals.

Minimum requirements

Keen to participate, and learn no previous experience necessary.Basic computer skills in Microsoft office or equivalent.
