About Region360.org
Region360 is a small collective of researchers, engineers, policy experts, and students interested in climate change and sustainability issues in Latin America. Region360 seeks to promote healthy, sustainable, and resilient societies in Latin America, particularly as climate change challenges increasingly affect vulnerable communities in the region. A multi-disciplinary, international initiative, our program promotes climate research in Latin America by both applying analytical methods and developing educational and policy initiatives. Region360 has two axes of action: 1) the development and implementation of technical methods in climate modeling, hydrology, and environmental engineering and 2) qualitative policy research on SDG’s, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and sustainable economies in Latin America. We are currently running three research groups (labs) in the areas of policy, hydroclimatology, and water justice.
This is a great opportunity for early career professionals to develop a keener understanding of the region while developing or enhancing research skills and deepening their knowledge of climate and policy issues in Latin America. We also invite individuals with experience living, traveling, and studying in the region who have an interest in sustainability to learn more about the program. If you are a seasoned expert with decades of experience or an advanced degree in environmental/climate change/sustainability issues and would like to support Region360, please email info@region360.org to learn about our pro-bono Senior Research Advisor opportunities.
