Recruiting Organization: Sun Tree Hospice of Colorado

Sun Tree Hospice is looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to be an integral part of our amazing team!

Volunteer activities can include, but are not limited to:

Direct Patient Volunteer: Volunteers provide respite for caregiver and companionship for hospice patients wherever they call home, whether it be their private home, assisted living or nursing home. This can include visiting with patients, letter or card writing, playing cards, playing music, reading light housekeeping, and providing emotional support. We also welcome support from licensed massage therapists, certified furry friends and their human companion, and musicians!

Office Support Volunteer: We also have a need for volunteers to help at our administrative office or at events. This can include filing, answering phones and placing calls, copying, mailings, and typing. We also welcome support at partner events!

No experience necessary, just a big heart! Sun Tree will provide training including the hospice philosophy and mission, the dying process, ways to communicate and support this process, the volunteer role and boundaries.

Prospective volunteers will be subject to background check.
