The Impact Network Associate Board is an influential group of young professionals dedicated to volunteering their voice, talents, time, and energy in support of Impact Network

Impact Network is a New York-based NGO that delivers innovative e-learning programs in rural Africa. We believe that every child deserves access to a quality education. By empowering teachers with tablets, activity ­based lessons, support and weekly coaching; we make this possible for over 6,000 students in rural Zambia. We developed a holistic education model called the eSchool 360, running currently in 44 schools, to sustain high-quality education year after year for less than $5 a month per student. This is an exciting time in our organization history because we are growing into new areas and planning for our future. In 2017 we launched a 35-school expansion with a randomized controlled trial evaluation in partnership with American Institutes for Research. The initial results after one year of our program show impressive results in literacy and math - compared to a control group, our schools increased math achievement by 55% and literacy achievement by 103%.

Impact Network is seeking applicants to serve on our Associate Board. Associate Board Members have the unique opportunity to serve as advocates for Impact Network’s mission to provide access to quality education while advancing their own personal, professional, and leadership goals. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic for impacting the educational space in rural Zambia. Individuals who are willing and able to dedicate time and energy to upholding our mission are encouraged to apply. We are seeking applicants with previous experience in Africa, education, taking programs to scale, communications, NGO management, public relations, fundraising or strategy.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S

· Take an active role in planning and executing a Junior Board annual fundraising event through social media

promotion, ticket sales, in-kind requests and securing sponsorships

· Meet an individually tailored give/get fundraising goal each year through personal donations, contributions, events and online campaigns from those in your network, corporate giving programs or in-kind donations

· Embrace your role as an ambassador for Impact Network

· Positively represent the organization, making every effort to influence your networks and cultivate support for the organization
