Recruiting Organization: Independent Living Program - City of Jacksonville
Volunteers help frail seniors and other adults maintain independence primarily in the client’s own home. Senior Companions typically serve between 15 and 40 hours per week and 2 to 4 clients. Among other activities, they assist with tasks of daily living such as grocery shopping and paying bills, provide friendship and companionship, alert doctors and family members to potential problems, and provide respite to family caregivers.
