Recruiting Organization: National QYD Project - An Essex CHIPS Initiative
The National QYD (Quality Youth Development) Project was launched in Vermont in 2018 by Essex CHIPS, for the purpose of promoting youth and community development by acknowledging community investments in youth - and leveraging new resources to enhance those investments. Four communities in Vermont have been certified as QYD Communities, with 2 more expected to be certified in 2022. National QYD has now established a base of operations in Amesbury MA, and seeks to bring this innovative project into 6 MA communities over the next 2 years. Volunteers are needed to assist with multiple roles, including:
- Grant research/writing
- Event planning/coordination
- Social media posting
- Peer-to-peer community organizing
All volunteer roles can be performed remotely, with training and support through zoom meetings. For further information about QYD, visit www.qyd.center, or email david@qyd.center, or call 978-255-3772.
