JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Public Allies Arizona is changing the face and practice of leadership throughout Arizona communities by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead, and that lasting change results when citizens of all backgrounds step up, take responsibility, and work together.
We are currently seeking young activists, creators, aspiring entrepreneurs, civic engagers, and dreamers to take charge in their communities. We offer a 10-month, full time PAID apprenticeship program within local nonprofits and state agencies aimed at advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership of all young people.
Boys and Girls Club of the Valley looks to empower young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible members of the community. BGCAZ is committed to collecting and using data to measure organizational and youth outcomes to demonstrate impact to stakeholders.
The Ally would be involved in (1) establishing systematic support to enhance the knowledge, skills and capabilities of organizational staff, (2) preserving a culture of learning and quality through shared leadership, and (3) strengthening outcome driven decision-making processes, collection and analysis.
The Ally would allow BGCAZ to make progress towards two growing areas, which directly affects the ability to provide premier out-of-school time programming, to expand evaluation and system processes within the training department and to help create a leadership academy offered to non-profit professionals, serving 15+ members of BGCAZ and/or the nonprofit community.
