JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Public Allies Arizona is changing the face and practice of leadership throughout Arizona communities by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead, and that lasting change results when citizens of all backgrounds step up, take responsibility, and work together.

We are currently seeking young activists, creators, aspiring entrepreneurs, civic engagers, and dreamers to take charge in their communities. We offer a 10-month, full time PAID apprenticeship program within local nonprofits and state agencies aimed at advancing social justice and equity by engaging and activating the leadership of all young people.

The NGSC is a four-year leadership development program where students study their chosen major, engage in practical elements of leadership, learn cross-sector collaboration and take internships each summer working on real issues in the public, private and nonprofit sectors all while pursuing their own chosen social mission.

The Ally will establish a series of programming or resources for students to connect with national service opportunities, focusing on students in their 4th and final year of the program. NGSC will also have a more engaged alumni network from the preparation in the students’ 4th year. Ally will do so through, 1. Aiding students in their 4th year to complete their experience in the NGSC by tracking their engagement activities and developing processes to conclude their time in the program, 2. developing a plan for "onboarding" 4th year students into being alumni, 3. Aiding in the maintenance and improvement of alumni engagement processes and activities for students who have already graduated from the program, and 4. tracking alumni post-graduation activities, including public service, continued education, professional work, and community engagement.
