Ubuntu Community Catalyst is seeking a Research & Development Coordinator with solid communication, research, organizational skills, and a proven ability to be persistent and resourceful. Interest and experience in fundraising are preferred. Ubuntu is launching a fundraising campaign to support its operations and empowerment programs. The Research and Development Coordinator will work with the development team to execute fundraising events and activities to fund Ubuntu’s LiveWell South Fulton community development initiative and special outreach projects, Community Learning Lab, and community-wide forums.
Key Responsibilities:
· Research corporate sponsorship and special event opportunities
· Research grant prospects using foundation database
· Draft donor communications (prospecting and thank-you’s)
· Assist in planning and execution of special events and fundraising activities
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong internet skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Eventbrite
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
- Must display strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Experience in marketing and communications a plus
- Reliable internet access
- Passion for our mission and commitment to servant leadership

Ubuntu has initiated a people-centered community economic development initiative in the South Fulton County, GA region.
The opportunity will run from November through Spring semesters. Communication between Coordinator and UCC team lead will be conducted via telephone, email, and/or video conferencing.
