Save to Favorites

Recruiting Organization: SmallWorld

Become a SmallWorld Mentor

Through weekly remote meetings, SmallWorld mentors lead a team of high school students over 1-2 semesters to solve a real problem at one of SmallWorld's partner NGOs. First and foremost, mentors motivate and inspire their students. More than that, however, mentors teach real-world skills to students, like project management, public speaking, and effective communication.

What is the time commitment?

1-2 hours/week for 1 semester, with an option to continue with your team further

What kind of problems can my team solve?

SmallWorld partners with NGOs across the globe, working on all 17 UN SDGs. We will try our best to match you with a team that is passionate about the same cause you are, whether that is refugee welfare, climate action, or homelessness- just to name a few examples.

How do I become a mentor?

Apply at the link below. After an interview and a background check, you will make an account on our online platform. Then, you put in your time availability on a quarterly basis, and we will notify you when a team has selected you as their mentor.
