Recruiting Organization: Roots of Success

Roots of Success is seeking a fluent Spanish speaking volunteer to lead our effort to update the Roots of Success Environmental Literacy and Work Readiness Program en Español.

Roots of Success is an empowering environmental literacy and work readiness program that prepares youth and adults from underserved communities for opportunities in the green economy, and to improve conditions in their communities.

Our mission is to ensure that all people have the knowledge and skills needed to accelerate the transition to a more socially just and environmentally responsible economy and society.

Since 2010, Roots of Success has:

- Prepared more than 25,000 youth and adults for dignified, well-paid work in the green economy

- Trained almost 2,000 teachers to foster environmental literacy in prisons, jails, juvenile facilities, job training programs, reentry programs, highschools and youth programs

- Supported hundreds of education and workforce programs throughout the United States

- Roots of Success graduates are working in every sector of the green economy

Required Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish speaking, reading, writing
• Interest in education and curriculum development
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Highly responsible with good communication skills
• Commitment to social and environmental justice
• Very strong research skills
• Able to work 10 hours/week

The Role:

• Work with ROS team to update the existing version of Roots of Success En Espanol
• Integrate existing updated content from English version into Spanish version
• Research, identify, and update videos in Spanish
• Collaborate with ROS staff weekly
