American Red Cross - Greater New York Region

The American Red Cross has a special need for volunteers who can support a disaster response to help assess people’s health and provide hands-on care in alignment with their professional unencumbered license (RN, LPN/LVN, APRN, NP, EMT, paramedic, PA).

This is not an Emergency Room/hospital/or urgent care environment

After a Disaster strikes we have a number of ways you can support our clients. You may assist with activities of daily living, provide health education and help to replace medications, durable medical equipment or consumable medical supplies.

COVID-19 AND STAYING SAFE The need for volunteers is constant and continues to evolve as the Red Cross navigates the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The safety of everyone is our top priority and our guidelines reflect the latest CDC safety recommendations. COVID-19 vaccination and masking is required for in-person volunteer roles beginning January 4, 2022.
