We are looking for volunteers to join our bio writing team! Bio writers are essential to helping get our cats adopted by writing about their personalities, quirks, and what home would be best for them. Volunteers need to have a basic understanding of cat behavior and access to a computer with internet access. Bio writers need strong writing skills and the ability to edit photos is an added bonus. If you are looking for a way to give back to our cats from the comfort of your home, this is a great opportunity for you!

Availability:

Flexible time. Commitment of 2 hours per week is preferred.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Receive virtual bio writer training 2-4 hours
• Possess a basic understanding of cat behavior
• Possess the ability to follow direction
• Must be able to work independently with no supervision
• Strong writing skills
• Basic photo editing skills preferred, but not required
• Ability to learn Petstablished online platform
• Google Sheets proficiency
• Ability to use Facebook Messanger which is how the organization communicates
• Willing to learn Petstablished (vidoes and directions provided) which is how we maintain and update cat bios

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Take information submitted from fosters and create a brief two paragraph bio of the cat that is informative and interesting
• Choose 4-6 quality photos from the foster to use. Brighten or edit if needed.
• Commit to volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per week from your home
