Make your New Year Resolution with the Red Cross, volunteer in disasters this year! (Greene, IN)
ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross-Indiana Region
Please visit the new page to apply.
Right here in Indiana, there are 2-3 home fires daily. Other disasters can also occur at any time and at any place affecting our communities. Red Cross Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteers help families that have lost everything in a disaster.
Resolve to volunteer this year as a DAT volunteer to provide emotional support, financial assistance, and information and referrals to help families begin the process of recovery. Bring your passion to help other people when needed the most.
DAT volunteers receive online training and are on-call for a minimum of 2 shifts per month, (shifts being from 7am-7pm or 7pm - 7am). We strongly encourage for more shift sign ups to ensure coverage, strong engagement, and to overall gain valuable learning experiences.
Become a part of the elite Disaster team! Begin your volunteer application at redcross.org/DAT
Please note: Volunteers applying for in-person position assignments must be fully vaccinated. Instructions on providing information and supporting documentation of vaccination will be provided once you submit your application.
