Needing a volunteer (or two separate) for morning shifts from 9am-12pm on Mondays and Tuesdays ongoing. Duties include answering phones, taking messages and occasionally refers callers to agencies that provide services that are not provided by the Wellness Center. Other duties include assisting with DME (durable medical equipment) loans, greeting walk-in clients, and making appointments for healthcare clients.
Volunteer(s) will need to fill out a volunteer application and also a release for a background check. This is an ongoing position, not a temporary one. Ideal candidate has good communication skills and enjoys working with seniors.

The Wellness Center is a multidisciplinarity nonprofit agency which provides preventive health services and social services to the aging population in Collin County. Services include nursing, information and referral, transportation, counseling, support groups and volunteer assistance. The goal of the agency to to promote well being and independence.
