Duties:

Will include

· Volunteers will meet with park staff to discuss qualifications, areas of interest as well as the needs of the NRMS division.

· Volunteer will coordinate with the NRMS staff as necessary to establish schedule and expectations.

Could include but not limited to

1. Stewardship labor including:

o Working in salt marshes, estuaries, seagrass meadows, and freshwater ponds.

o Planting specific species during revegetation projects

o Watering plants on a scheduled basis

2. Resource site monitoring

o Photographing trails for erosion at sites

o Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on trail degradation at sites

§ Taking photos of restoration progress

§ Monitoring pond use

§ Monitoring rare species

3. Assisting with infrastructure

o Working with staff to install water bars

o Working with staff and other volunteers for fence installation at designated sites

4. Assisting the natural resource staff with various other agreed upon stewardship activities
