Visitor Service volunteers perform duties reflective of the interpretation and visitor services ranger staff. This includes a variety of visitor-centered duties including:

· Staffing the information desk

· Fort and ground patrol

· Initiating visitor contacts

· Answering questions of a historical nature

· Delivering formal programs to groups

· Research

· Maintenance - specific projects as required

· Grounds keeping (as needed)

· Crowd control and parking

· Off-site programs at schools (as needed)
