Keeping the historic headstones in Stones River National Cemetery cleaned and readable is a year-round job. Groups of up to 20 volunteers can assist us in this endeavor by adopting one or more sections, most numbering between 400-500 headstones.


Park staff will train group leaders in proper headstone cleaning methods and provide all equipment and supplies. Group leaders will supervise field work and report accomplishments to park staff.
