Greets all visitors, provides a brief orientation to the park and surrounding area. Rings up sales and assists with merchandising if necessary. Answers phones when possible and helps the Ranger on duty to monitor the radio in case of emergency.
Time Commitment:
- minimum 16 hours per month
- minimum 4 month commitment between mid-May through Labor Day weekend
- 7 hours of training
CoVid Vaccination Requirements: Parks and programs utilizing volunteers must implement this guidance in their volunteer programs by January 10, 2022.
Volunteers assigned to or whose service requires their regular presence in NPS buildings or government vehicles must:
- Complete and present a Certification of Vaccination form (OMB Control No. 3206-0277). If they have NOT attested to being fully vaccinated, they must also possess and present a negative COVID-19 test result from within the 3 days immediately prior to the date of entry; and
- Maintain completed form (and test result, if necessary) on their person for the duration of their visit and present it to the volunteer manager or volunteer supervisor, as needed; and
- Comply with all public health protocols in place at the park or office including social distancing and mandatory mask wearing inside all government buildings.

- Park Headquarters is located on River Rd in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. This site is open Monday through Friday year-round and weekends during the summer season.
