The North River Ranger District is looking for a single volunteer or couple to fill campground host opportunity at Hone Quarry Campground . Hone Quarry is a quiet campground in Rockingham County, VA. The campground contains 10 sites and a day use picnic area. It is also nearby popular trails, Hone Quarry Reservoir, and popular hunting and fishing spots. The site is approximately 30 minutes to Harrisonburg and closest to the town of Briery Branch.
Schedule: Hosts are expected to be availible at campground Friday - Sunday including holiday weekends. Commitment to the entire recreation season from May to October is also expected.
Amenities: Campsite suitable for RV/Trailer provided free of charge with access to propane. Housing not provided, host must provide own RV or Trailer - tents are not suitable for length of stay. Campground is equipped with vault toilets. No running water, cell service limited.
