Volunteers needed to provide group topics for women's program!

ORGANIZATION: CENTRAL CLINIC INC

Alternative Interventions for Women (AIW), a program of Court Clinic. Court clinic is a division of Central Clinic. AIW assists women with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders who are involved with the criminal justice system. This program assists these women to move toward recovery and reintegration into the community.

Participants of AIW attend their regularly scheduled services; however, we need your help in bringing additional learning topics and activities to round out their experience! Below are a few of the requests we've received from our program participants:

Self defense class
Makeup/hair /skin care tutorial
Parenting classes
CPR training
Outside AA/NA leads
Job training
Tax and Law assistance
Budgeting/money management/credit rebuilding/banking
Nutrition/weight training
Body image
Exercise (yoga/Zumba)
poetry/jewelry making/painting/creative writing/candle making

  • Must be at least 18
  • You can stay a volunteer however long you wish to provide your topic!
  • Volunteers must be drug and alcohol free. We ask you to provide materials/supplies if needed for the activity you'd like to bring to our program. You will also need to sign a wavier stating what you learn in our group will stay confidential.
