ORGANIZATION: The Bikery

The Fundraising Lead is responsible for helping the Bikery find funding to sustain special
projects beyond shop operations. This includes finding funding sources and managing grants or
funding throughout the granting/funding cycle. The Fundraising Lead will work closely with the
Board and Leads group to determine needs, and develop and sustain relationships with donors
and other stakeholders and partners.

This opportunity can be done remotely but we are interested in someone based in Seattle for this position.

Responsibilities

● Work with the Leads group and Board to determine programmatic needs, funding
necessary, and organizational capacity;
● Find and track funding sources from local, regional, and national organizations and
donors;
● Develop and maintain relationships with donors and other stakeholders and partners;
● Work with the Outreach Lead to develop fundraising outreach strategy and materials;
● Serve as a project manager for grant and funding applications, delegating tasks to the
Board and Leads as necessary, to get materials submitted on time;
● Work with the Finance Lead to manage grants and funding throughout the
granting/funding cycle;
● Recruit and manage volunteers to help with grant writing when necessary to meet
deadlines;
● Sustain fundraising for payroll and administrative costs of the shop employee through
donation asks or grants.

● Board and Leads group in determining programmatic and funding needs.
Works closely with:
● Board

● Finance Lead
