Team Description: Placing Angels in available foster homes

Position Title: Foster Placement Coordinator

Position Description: Customer Service and People Oriented team players needed to help match dogs needing fosters to available foster homes.

Qualifications for Position: Must have phone and internet access. Need to be computer-savvy. Must be able to access and use Facebook, Internet for Cloud based database (iShelters), Gmail and Google sheets and documents. Must be organized and dependable. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Must be good at handling emails and, able to work with a sense of urgency and remain calm and cool. Should be familiar with how Angels works and be a foster or have fostered for Angels, or have had a good deal of experience with other rescues as far as matching foster homes to dogs needing fosters.

Availability needed: Must commit to at least one day per week.

Returns Team

Team Description: Coordinates Returns of Adopted Dogs.

Position Title: Returned Dog Coordinator

Position Description : Respond to emails sent by adopters to returns@ email within 12 to 24 hours. Coordinate all aspects of a return by gathering all necessary info from returner, Arrange new placement for the dog either with former foster or new foster. Arrange for return drop offs. This position works with many other teams, including placement, transport, boarding, Petfinder, records, training, and vetting. Returns may be avoided through training or other help. If possible, offer solutions such as training to prevent a return. When a return is unavoidable, it almost always results in a better situation for the dog. The team averages about 5 return requests a week and the coordinators work the returns that come in on their assigned day. Most returns will take some time to complete while looking for a foster or working with the adopter.

Availability needed : Ability to check and respond to emails on assigned day. Follow through with the clients you are working the returns on. Availability needs vary based on the volume of returns, but probably averages just a few hours each week, but timely responses and follow-up are critical.
