Volunteers needed to visit patients in nursing homes and patient residences. The ideal volunteer is willing to spend time with patients talking, reading, and generally providing companionship and emotional support. No medical training is required as volunteers do not provide hands on care to patients.
Due to facility and Encompass Health requirements, volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and need to be at least 18 years of age.

Description
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is looking for hospice volunteers to provide both administrative and patient facing services and visits to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
