Amedisys Hospice is needing compassionate volunteers. Opportunities include compassion care to patients and caregivers in their time of need, giving respite for caregivers who need a brief moment away from their loved ones, phone calls, mailing cards/letters, veteran to veteran visits, hairdresser/barber services, office duties, crafting, playing games with residents, pet therapy, etc. Amedisys follows CDC guidelines by wearing masks and using proper hand sanitation. We are a caring organization that works as a team to make sure our patients and caregivers have what they need during this challenging time in their life.

Description

Hospice provides support and care of persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice began many years ago as a sacred duty to those who were sick and dying. Hospice affirms life and views death as a natural process. We are committed to providing proper care of the dying patient and his/her family.
