  • Work with small groups of students on a hands-on project while connecting the project content to learnings from your career
  • Support students' critical thinking, collaborative problem solving, and provide feedback on student's project progress
Citizen Schools staff support volunteers create and plan for fun and engaging workshops.Volunteers commit to attending a virtual volunteer training, background check, and (4-6) 60-min virtual classroom sessions. Classroom sessions take place M-F between 9-4:30 PM ET.

Citizen Schools is a national nonprofit and we believe that equity begins with opportunity. To close the opportunity gap in education, we need systems change, which requires work at multiple levels. We bring students hands-on learning projects with career mentors after school, coach and train teachers to provide these opportunities during school, and share capacity, resources & best practices with other communities.
