Lead Virtual Career Workshops for Middle School Students!
Volunteers mentor middle school students through a STEM hands-on learning project over 4-6 weeks. By working with small groups of students and leading interactive career workshops for middle school students, you will empower them to see themselves in future careers. We are seeking Finance, Healthcare, and STEM-industry volunteers to share their career journeys with students and bring learning to life.
What will you do?
- Lead a 30 min interactive workshop about your career journey to (2) classes and answer questions from the students
- Work with small groups of students on a hands-on project while connecting the project content to learnings from your career
- Support students' critical thinking, collaborative problem solving, and provide feedback on student's project progress

Citizen Schools is a national nonprofit and we believe that equity begins with opportunity. To close the opportunity gap in education, we need systems change, which requires work at multiple levels. We bring students hands-on learning projects with career mentors after school, coach and train teachers to provide these opportunities during school, and share capacity, resources & best practices with other communities.
