Purpose: Dedicated and organized volunteer who will research, write, and apply for grants to fund existing programs, special projects, and operating costs to ensure financial stability and sustainability of REAL. Volunteer will work with the Executive Director and Development Advisor.


Responsibilities: An ideal volunteer grant writer:

• Researches and presents grant opportunities for existing programs and special projects
• Prepares proposals by gathering and organizing information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals by the Executive Director and Development Advisor.
• Creating a timeline of targeted dated: research, analysis of data, draft of proposal, review, approval, and submission
• Writes, revises, and edits drafts as needed before submission

Time Commitment: This is a part-time, self-supporting position 5-10 hours/week

Logistics:

• This is a remote position
• Volunteers will work using his/her own computer and high-speed internet
• Meetings will be conducted via email, telephone and video conferencing
