Volunteer will provide transportation to and from clients appointment in their own personal vehicle according to their availability and desired days/times they would like to serve. Volunteer can choose which rides they want to cover on our online sign-up sheet. When an assignment is accepted, volunteer will be given necessary information pertaining to that trip. Mileage reimbursement is offered.

Volunteers make a difference!

AmeriCorps Seniors of Steuben County provides opportunities for people ages 55 and over to make a significant impact in their communities through volunteering. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few hours a month to over 40 hours a week serving in their communities. Opportunities to serve include volunteering at local hospitals and nursing homes, schools, food pantries, public safety programs, and other nonprofit agencies and organizations. RSVP staff assist volunteers in sharing their experience, abilities and skills for the betterment of the community and themselves. Volunteer orientation, on-site training, supplemental insurance (while on duty), and mileage reimbursement are free services available for RSVP volunteers.
