Are you looking for ways to help others in need or hoping to build new skills and learn about hospice care?
If you answered yes to any one of these, then Harmony Cares Hospice has a great opportunity for you!
Harmony Cares Hospice formerly Grace Hospice, is currently seeking Volunteers to serve our patients in and around the Waterford and surrounding areas.
As a Harmony Cares Hospice Volunteer, you will be trained in:
- Hospice basics
- Spirituality and the dying patient
- Palliative care
- Effective communication
- How to assist the Alzheimer's patient
- How to effectively comfort the family
and much, much more!
This is a flexible program and visits range from two to four times a month, approximately one hour each visit. We work around your schedule while also focusing on patient/caregiver needs.

Description
Harmony Cares Hospice formerly Grace Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals who are willing to provide emotional support and companionship to our patients and their families experiencing Hospice. Volunteers are a vital part of the interdisciplinary team and truly are the heart of our organization. In addition to placing friendly visits, volunteers can also assist with bereavement support, caregiver relief (respite), running of errands, special event planning, veteran to veteran outreach, pet, reiki, music and massage therapies, office support - and more!
