Join the Red Cross and travel as a feeding team driver around the US providing meals and services to our most needed communities to support our communities and surrounding areas.
- (All expenses paid for by the American Red Cross)
Volunteer will help provide meals, snacks, and beverages to individuals and families in communities impacted by man-made and natural disasters, ranging from the single-family fire to large-scale events, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods. Feeding includes the preparation, coordination, and delivery of meals through the following methods:
Disperse feeding - providing meals and beverages in a shelter.
- Assemble feeding - providing meals and beverages by one of two methods:
- Fixed (non-shelter) - serving clients at a designated location in or near a disaster-affected area.
Feeding Team/Driver outreach through community areas as they travel and serve our communities:
- Mobile - serving clients by using emergency response vehicles and other designated vehicles that travel throughout affected communities.
- Canteen Carriers - providing snacks, beverages, and in some instances, meals, to first responders, shelter clients, and others who need their nutrition needs met outside of scheduled mealtimes.
For more information, please reach out to me so that we may discuss any questions you may please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
We would love to discuss we can work together to better serve our communities before, during and after disasters!
The American Red Cross wants to get better acquainted during blue skies so that when blue skies turn grey, we are no longer strangers but colleagues working to serve our communities together.
Thank you for your support during this unprecedented time.
