This is our HYBRID CERT training!

We will be doing eight instructional classes and one hands-on skills day.

The instructional classes will be held at Brazosport College, with the option to attend virtually through our online learning portal.

Instructional classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from February 1 - February 24 from 1800 - 2100 (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm).

Tue. Feb 1: Module 1 - Preparedness

Thu. Feb 3: Module 2 - Team Organization

Tue. Feb 8: Module 3 - Disaster Medical 1

Thu. Feb 10: Module 4 - Disaster Medical 2

Tue. Feb 15: Module 5 - Disaster Psychology

Thu. Feb 17: Module 6 - Fire Safety

Tue. Feb 22: Module 7 - Light Search and Rescue

Thu. Feb 24: Module 8 - Terrorism

The skills day will be held on a Saturday in early March, from 0900 - 1500 (9:00 am - 3:00 pm). The location is to be determined.

Everyone must attend the skills day in person to receive your certificate.

Mission Statement

To make America safer by empowering its citizens and first responders by: Providing training to first responders. Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers. Providing/facilitating volunteer opportunities. Enhancing community preparedness for and response to natural and man-made disasters and other emergencies. Educating citizens about preparedness and response to emergencies. Providing resources to emergency management agencies. Assisting local government agencies with creating and managing citizen volunteer programs related to Emergency Preparedness. Encouraging personal responsibility for Emergency Preparedness.


Homeland Preparedness Project trains citizens to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and other disasters.

Through programs like Citizen Corp, HPP facilitates volunteer opportunities for individuals who want to become involved in Emergency Management.
