Stay under the starry heavens and help angels watch over a little church

dedicated simply, a church to God
Nestled beneath Christmas Mountain on a way called Christmas Star Route is a little church with a sign that says, "All faiths welcome." It was a gift given by spiritual messengers of God who are here "to prepare a way for the coming of the Messiah." Yet, the temple of God is not a building; it is being built within the hearts and minds of many -- of all who will receive this gift of love. And it is a gift to be given to the whole world, a gift of peace on Earth and good will to all who will receive Him in. "Open your door that we may enter, and therefore, there can be a place prepared within you, each of you, for his coming."

"Home, home on the range!"

(See this description with photos at https://medium.com/a-stairway-to-heaven/home-home-on-the-range-f859c4f3a244.)

Bring your RV. Stay in our spacious church parking area, which has a great panoramic view of mountains. It’s in a beautiful rural valley beneath the Dripping Springs Mountains, south of Globe and north of Winkelman, Arizona. (That’s about 100 miles east of Phoenix and 70 miles north of Tucson.)

We offer a choice - you can park for a $150/month donation, or you can workcamp part-time (10-15 hours/week) and park for free. (Electricity is available in addition if you pay for your monthly use.)

This is a peaceful, rural church setting.

People love the beautiful Dripping Springs mountains panorama, with many places to hike, and the peaceful spiritual presence on the 1.1-acre church property.

Here are photos and more information.

Regular services are not being offered due to coronavirus, but a small Sunday service may be held just for us. We hope you’ll be on the property Sundays (usually from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) whenever the minister is present, since it’s a rural setting.

This is our second year to offer our beautiful location to stay. Those who came before said they loved it.

Although this is a "boondocking" experience, we installed two new RV electrical hookups. If you want electricity, please reimburse us promptly each month. A $100 security or utilities deposit is asked, which will be refunded to you promptly when you leave your parking spot clean and your optional electricity is paid.

We can provide free clean drinking water from our well for you. Our aquifer has some of the best quality water in Arizona, a hydrogeologist who tested the water tells us.

We don’t have septic hookups, so you’ll need to be self-contained. Unfortunately, neighbors ruined our septic system by holding workshops with large crowds on weekdays when we weren’t there. That’s why we’d like someone just to be on the property.

Facilities for RV dumping are at the Apache Gold casino, 24.2 miles north of the church, near the town, Globe, where you can shop, etc. There is another casino, Apache Sky, 27.8 miles to the south, past the little town of Winkelman that is just 18.1 miles from the church. More shopping is available in the town of Kearney, another 10 miles west of Winkelman.

(Left map) Kearney, AZ is 28.5 miles south of the church to God, to the west past Winkelman on Hwy 177. The Apache Sky Casino is south of Winkelman on Hwy 77. (Right map) North of the church 24.2 miles on Hwy 77 is the Apache Gold Casino Resort, on Hwy 70 to the east. Globe, AZ is on Hwy 70 to the west.

Just 1/3 mile from the church is a good, strong cell phone signal for calls, downloading videos, or checking email. UPS regularly delivers packages. Mail delivery can be available. You can use our burn barrel, or subscribe to trash delivery.

Please, no smoking, drinking or drugs on the church property. Fires must be in a designated area and special precautions taken during months when fire risk is high. We hope you’ll be respectful of our simple honest values.

You can choose whether you’d like to make a $150 donation to park, or choose to work in exchange for free parking and water. We can negotiate so that it’s fair to both of us.

References will be appreciated. Honesty, caring and integrity are the most important gifts you can bring.

God will provide His angels!

Some who wish may feel this as a peaceful, loving presence or a deepening in the sky and all around.

That may be why neighbors chose the land across the street a year after the church had been built and dedicated to God on the first day of the Advent season, December 5, 1982. They call their place, Wind Spirit.

"The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit," Jesus said. (John 3:8)

Our little church that was dedicated simply to God has a beautiful story. Angels led us on a route called Christmas Star.

We hope you’ll really enjoy your stay on our beautiful, rural church property on the former Christmas Star route beneath Christmas, Arizona, and the Dripping Springs Mountains in central Arizona.

You can make it your home on the range!

We hope to see you soon!
