Mission Statement
We are the Nations Africa Centre (NAC), a charity with food at its heart. Over the past 10 years, we have supported diverse communities, within Greater London, to live better and healthier lives. Our aim is to work with young adults and the wider community to give them hope and dignity by accompanying them, motivating them and being a healing force for them within these communities.
Description
Our flagship project is the Contribution Food Market that serves as an alternative foodbank - a place where people purchase products and fresh groceries and in return give us donations. We believe setting it up like this increases the self-esteem and self-respect of the shoppers. These donations are then used to further foster links between communities and uplift the community by providing access to self-care, meditation, yoga, acupuncture, job hunting sessions, skills workshops, and counselling - to name a few.
