The ELC of North Florida is looking for volunteers to be weekly or bi-weekly reading volunteers to local preschool children in Clay County. Volunteers read to either the whole class or they can read to small groups of children. Training is provided and the ELC provides a large lending library of books and materials for the volunteers to use. If you love preschool children and reading this is the opportunity for you. Many of our reading volunteers also help put on themed literacy programs in preschools as well in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition outreach team.
As far as COVID concerns volunteers work with their individual schools and abide by their covid policies. Clear masks are provided by the ELC if a volunteer wants or needs it.
