Are you a musician looking for a meaningful performance opportunity? Are you interested in supporting fellow music lovers of different generations, cultures, and backgrounds?

You've come to the right place! Oftentimes the "universal language" of music is one of the best ways to connect with someone and bring their true personality to light. It can bring peace and comfort, uncover old memories, and help decrease feelings of isolation and depression.

Come join our team and get to know our patients by listening to recordings with them, playing music on your primary instrument, singing with them and/or creating music and legacy songs.

Hours are variable. Whether you volunteer three times per month, multiple times per week, or weekly, we are happy to have you join our team.

Please contact Elisabeth Lister, Volunteer Coordinator for Gentiva Hospice, for any further questions.

About Gentiva Hospice

Location:

130 Rumford Avenue, Suite 211, Auburndale, MA 02466, US

Mission Statement

To provide hope, alleviate pain and suffering providing an environment of support, recognizing and respecting the uniqueness of our patients and family in their journey.

Description

Hospice is a medical specialty dedicated to the support and care of persons with limited life expectancies so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible. The hospice philosophy focuses on maintaining the quality of the patient’s life. With its dedicated team of interdisciplinary health care professionals and volunteers, Kindred Hospice provides caring support for the patient and their family.

Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice philosophy. Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, run errands or even help out in our office. Volunteers are there to step in when a family member needs a break, and are there for the family and friends after their loved one has passed away. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help.
