ORGANIZATION: WORLD HERITAGE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMS INC

Looking for self-motivated, outgoing, reliable, diverse individual in Michigan. World Heritage International Student Exchange Programs is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to creating lifelong relationships with foreign exchange students & American families.

World Heritage provides semester & academic year exchange programs in the United States for high school aged students (15 -18 years old) from around the World. As a World Heritage Local Coordinator, you will be making a difference in the world, one young person at a time.

DUTIES: Recruiting and training a team of local Area Representatives to serve as mentors to the students. Recruit host families and ensure proper screening is completed. Initiate and maintain contact with the local high schools that the students attend. The Area Coordinator is responsible for ensuring program compliance is maintained and documented by the Area Reps throughout the duration of the students stay in the US.

You will receive training and on-going support from your World Heritage Regional Director and the full World Heritage team. You are also able to work the position remotely from your own home.

The Area Coordinator position is a part-time, stipend-paid position. Preference given to those with experience working with youth and/or experience with exchange programs. Speaking a foreign language is a plus (French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, etc.)

Description

World Heritage International Student Exchange ("World Heritage") is a non-profit public benefit organization affiliated with and operating under the sponsorship of ASSE International. World Heritage is dedicated to fostering cultural enrichment and intercultural understanding through youth exchange programs. Founded in 1980 as Spanish Heritage and focusing mainly on the Hispanic culture, World Heritage has since expanded its program to embrace many other nationalities. From a universal perspective, World Heritage is contributing to global harmony by promoting closer ties of friendship between the people of the participating countries.
World Heritage programs are conducted in accordance with the regulations established by the U.S. Department of State and the standards established by the U.S.A. Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET). World Heritage is also a member of the Alliance for International Exchange.
