Twitter SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Twitter social media coordinator will develop and implement a social media strategy for the STRIVE4YOU Twitter page to increase overall reach and brand awareness. He/she will use Twitter to promote active STRIVE4You events and campaigns, engage the public and increase online presence. This individual will use their awesome skills as part of the overall social media & Marketing Strategic plan making regular posts and engaging with followers. They will serve as a team member on the STRIVE4YOU Marketing Team.
OUR ORGANIZATION
At STRIVE4You our mission is to empower all individuals through training and recreation, while educating professionals to better serve their clients. The STRIVE4You website will be coming soon at www.strive4you.org.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post regular updates to STRIVE4You’s Twitter page, including events, news articles, blog posts, press releases, fundraising appeals, and any other promotional items to spread awareness
- Monitor activity and user interactions for the organization’s Twitter account
- Adapt general STRIVE4You campaign messaging for the respective social media platform
- Assist the social media team in steadily increasing followers
- Monitor trends in social marketing tools, trends and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to support our online campaigns
- Stay informed about new sites and trends in how people get information
- Help develop a social media strategy to support the organization’s outreach programs and fundraising activities, and establish targets for increasing online reach
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience effectively using the Twitter platform.
- Experience editing and creating videos.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to use online tools to engage members, donors, and corporate partners
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative
- Works well independently and as part of a team
POSITION TIME REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate is available 2-5 hours a week. This is a virtual position.
COMPENSATION
This is an unpaid position; course credit arrangements are gladly negotiated. Volunteers are highly valued members of the STRIVE4You’s team and contribute to making a significant difference in STRIVE4You’s ability to reach the end users. STRIVE4You will provide reference letters for all volunteers who successfully complete a placement.

Our programs include life skills and advocacy educational classes for transition aged youth, inclusive physical education classes for children of all ages, recreation and sports programs for people with disabilities, advocacy training. and peer to peer life coaching and mentoring from successful people of all abilities to assist them through their individual situations.
We also provide consulting, professional development opportunities, and outreach services to professionals in communities across the United States. These services are in the form of webinars, online courses, in-person hands on workshops, and trainings at conferences. All trainings are conducted by experienced qualified professionals eager to empower our communities through inclusive and quality education, to promote lifelong learning for all
