Mission Statement
Answering the call to share Christ's love, Stanly Community Christian Ministry provides assistance and support to our neighbors in need.
Description
We love our neighbors. We believe we are called to love people through their difficult situations. Each of us can admit we have received support in some way from family, friends, or an agency like Stanly Community Christian Ministry. Our agency is here to share love with those who have found themselves in emergency situations and need assistance with food or financial support for their rent, utility bills, or prescriptions.
In addition to reducing food insecurity in our county, we also assist our clients who require financial assistance. Our agency works to reduce homelessness by helping eligible individuals with rent and utility payments. When funds allow, we're also able to assist with prescription expenses.
Stanly Community Christian Ministry, Inc. (SCCM) is a partner agency of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM). SHFBM partners and distributes food and essential grocery items to approximately 550 hunger-feeding agencies in 19 counties in North and South Carolina. Agencies served include emergency pantries, soup kitchens, senior programs, shelters, and low-income daycares.
