Volunteers in the Emergency Department are tasked with getting patients to their appropriate locations; communicating with patients and visitors regarding their needs; observing.
Principal Duties:
- Provide comfort care to patients and visitors by delivering blankets, water, snacks etc.
- Transport patients to appropriate location within the Emergency Department.
- Bridge communication between patient, family and ED providers.
- Assistance with patient satisfaction surveys etc.
- Not guaranteed but potential shadowing clinical staff.
