ORGANIZATION: ALZHEIMERS DISEASE AND RELATED DISORDERS ASSOCIATION INC

We are looking for passionate committee members for The Longest Day (TLD), our annual "do-it-yourself" fundraising program! Join us to let your light shine!

The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The volunteer's role for TLD includes all or some of the following:

- Meeting and networking with key individuals within your community.

- Recruiting, training, and leading Longest Day participants.

- Developing and implementing recruitment strategies

- Attending monthly virtual committee meetings

- Calling and coaching participants

You’ll work closely with an Alzheimer’s Association staff member who will support and empower your efforts. Ideal volunteers would have some of these traits: Enjoy connecting with people, passionate about ending Alzheimer's, enthusiastic, creative, comfortable talking on the phone and a willingness to participate in or co-host events.

The Longest Day activities can happen any time of year, and participants can create and develop their own activity and strategy to best their lifestyle and personality.
