This project is designed to recruit volunteers age 55 and older to help deliver COVID vaccines and other resources to the most at-risk groups in San Joaquin County, California. Volunteers will help conduct community outreach, recruit additional volunteers, and organize vaccine events at Federally Qualified Health Centers. Other duties will include translating for families, traffic control, registration, screening and set up and take down. Volunteer shifts will be anywhere between 3-6 hours depending on the size of the event.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to connect and receive mentorship from retired Physicians, Nurses and other medical personnel if they are looking to explore a career in healthcare.

- Orientation or Training
- We will have ongoing vaccination events throughout the year. Each event will have a time commitment of 3-6 hours.
- Volunteers will need to be fully vaccinated, provide a TB test and must complete a HIPAA orientation provided by the Federally Qualified Health Center. This will only need to be done once.
