Meal server volunteers can sign up for individual open shifts that work for their schedule, or set up a recurring regular schedule. Submit a Volunteer Application here: https://capslo.org/volunteer-application/
Breakfast shift: 7:45 am - 9:15 am
Dinner shift: 4:45 pm- 6:15pm
* Meal servers should be reliable and ready to help upon arrival.
* Set up food to be served, keeping aware of the portion sizes given by staff.
* Make sure extra meals are not wasted, and properly saved for those who would like seconds or who are arriving late.
* Work with staff to ensure an efficient serving experience for all.
40 Prado is currently following strict Covid protocols, and volunteers are required to be vaccinated. Meal servers enter through the back door and remain separated in the kitchen behind plexiglass. Masks and gloves are required. Please stay home if you do not feel well or have been exposed to anyone with Covid symptoms or a positive test. Please err on the side of caution to protect yourselves and others.

Description
Annually, Community Action Partnership serves 40,000 persons across San Luis Obispo County and nine other central and southern California counties. Through a variety of programs and in collaboration with other community service agencies, Community Action Partnership helps individuals and families achieve and maintain self sufficiency through the following services:
- Help participants secure and retain employment
- Help maintain adequate housing
- Help in receiving medical services
- Help obtain energy subsidy and weatherization assistance
- Help provide child care and preschool education
