Entertainment Attorney helps to Save Horses

We’re seeking an experienced, Entertainment Attorney with a firm grounding in legal areas like contract law, labor law, litigation, and intellectual property, as well as extensive knowledge of how the entertainment industry works. The role is to assist in advising and counsel for a Documentary, Online television series, and other potential entertainment opportunities to raise the much-needed funds to support Red Bucket Equine Rescues lifesaving work. This is a unique opportunity to expand our mission to save and rehabilitate horses, restore their trust in humankind, and find them safe, loving, permanent adoptive homes. You’ll work closely with Susan Peirce, Red Bucket’s founder and President to spread the word, protect our lifesaving work.

Essential Functions

• Draft contracts for Red Bucket, review contracts from managers, publicists, record labels, film studios, and others to make sure they're legal and fair to Red Bucket, and then negotiate those contracts.
• Help Red Bucket as we are new to the industry and we need to understand how the business works, including which types of contracts to choose, how to identify pitfalls in business deals, what performing rights they have, and where to find a manager, agent, accountant, or other business contact.
• Act as general counsel for Red Bucket, helping with marketing and merchandising deals, as well as real estate transactions and tax issues.
