When Covid denied volunteers the opportunity to engage with patients at the bedside, volunteers started making phone calls to recently discharged patients instead.
The feedback from patients has been so positive, that we are continuing this program.
Are you an outgoing person who enjoys conversation with others? Are you interested in helping the community stay healthy and develop healthy behaviors after a hospital stay. If so, we'd like you to be a virtual patient discharge caller.
We have a large Spanish speaking population so if you're Spanish bilingual we would love your help!
