Event Description:

Help transform Pullen Park back to normal after our winter wonderland! Hundreds of lights, displays, and garlands need to be taken down and packed away for next holiday season. Help us organize and keep track of all our lights and wreaths!

Volunteer Duties:

Volunteers will work in small groups or individually to take down lights, wreaths, and orbs. We will be wrapping and tagging everything for storage. We will organize into containers, label and stack. Some ladder use may be required.

Volunteer Impact:

By volunteering to help undecorate Pullen Park, individuals and groups can assist with keeping our lights and decorations in great condition. Help us organize and store our holiday lights and garland so that we can use them in holiday festivities for years to come!

Work Environment:

Work will occur outdoors in January. Please dress appropriately to the weather and wear or bring layers. Work will be equivalent to light yard work or home holiday undecorating. Restrooms are available onsite.

Volunteer Requirements:

Pre-registration is required. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. All volunteers will need to complete a release form prior to the event. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their form. Only volunteers 18 years or older may use a ladder and must sign an additional form.

Other Instructions:

Volunteers should bring a water bottle, close-toed shoes, and a jacket appropriate to the weather. Volunteers should meet at the Stage and Event Lawn, past the Pullen arch on the left, for a team meeting and task assignments.

COVID-19 Policy:

Volunteers and staff must follow the COVID-19 policies below so that projects are safe for everyone.

  • Social distancing must be practiced (6-feet between individuals)
