There have been many people who have suffered financial setbacks because of COVID-19 and the homeless population (and those living in their vehicles) has increased greatly. The Bay Area Street Pantry gives out food with no requirements or background checks. We aim to end both hunger and food insecurity.

We need drivers on Tuesdays with reliable vehicles to help transport food from the food bank to the library.

10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
We need volunteers on Tuesdays to help set up the operation and pack bags of food at the library.

11:30 AM to 01:00 PM
We need at least 1 volunteer to help us hand out food to those in need at the library. We typically finish in 30 minutes. We also need help cleaning.

Description
The Conservancy Corp was founded in 2018 to further the mission of our partner organization, EDFU Foundation. The Conservancy Corp focuses on charitable programs and research and education programs. Our largest program is currently the Bay Area Street Pantry that hands out food to the Oakland, CA area. We give out 100+ bags of groceries to the hunger every Tuesday.

REQUIREMENTS
- Each shift is approximately an hour and a half, but we typically finish early. If you are unable to stay the whole time that is okay.
- If you are able to volunteer as a driver, you need to have a valid licence and a reliable vehicle. Per Alameda County's laws, you must be fully vaccinated if you are volunteering inside the library.
