Without us, much of North Fulton wouldn't recycle. North Fulton needs your help!
If you are a volunteer seeking credit for court-ordered community service, please see our Court-Ordered Volunteer Description as it contains additional information and paperwork.
Guide customers to the correct bin for their recyclables, assist in collecting items, sort incoming recyclables, and bale cardboard and plastics so that our materials are ready to be recycled into new products.
Dress: Please dress in comfortable protective clothes for that day's weather conditions and ensure that you have closed-toe shoes. You will be outdoors for the duration of this opportunity and working in close proximity to heavy items, motor vehicles, and machinery. We want you to be comfortable and safe! Please also bring your own clearly-marked water bottle.
COVID-19 Precautions: All volunteers will be outdoors, wearing masks if they are not fully vaccinated, and adhering to social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizer will also be available. By volunteering for this opportunity, you agree to abide by these rules during this service opportunity.
School Credit : If you would like to get credit for your volunteer hours to submit to your school, please visit your school’s volunteer service coordinator to learn about their preferred method of verification (many schools have a school-specific portal you will need to log on to). If you need a signed letter from us stating that you volunteered with KNFB for your school, make sure to collect the physical letter from us at the end of your volunteer service that day. We are unable to issue digital letters.
Age Restrictions: Volunteers 16-17 of age must have a guardian co-sign a liability waiver. Volunteers 16 and under must also have a chaperone 21+ years old present with them during their service (one chaperone for every three 16 year-olds and younger present).
