The mission of the Friends of Bolton Mansion is to engage the Lower Bucks County community through exhibits and programming that are open to the public. The continued restoration and preservation of the Mansion as a historic museum, along with the Farmers’ residence and surrounding grounds will foster interest in the interpretation of the site, the history of Bolton Mansion, and its role in the early history of the Commonwealth through the present day.

Position Summary:
We’re currently seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer with or without previous experience to work with our Treasurer. The Grant Writer will submit compelling solicitation on behalf of our organization to request funding from different organizations and government agencies.
This position will be responsible for:
- Performing research to identify potential funders (We can provide a list to begin research)
- Completing grant applications
- Ensuring all appropriate and required documentation is submitted with grant application
Qualifications:
- Detail oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Ability to meet deadlines

Description
Friends of Bolton Mansion members and volunteers work together to restore this beautiful piece of history through fundraising events and private event rentals. Our goals for 2019 are to build our volunteer base including specialists, to increase our outdoor security of the building to preserve any restorations that have been completed, restore the first floor hallway (the last remaining restoration on the first floor), and update our web presence by redesigning our website and increasing our social media marketing.
