Are you the friend who is always creating amazing birthday invitations in seconds? Is creativity seeping out of you? Do you have the ability to masterfully communicate moments and ideas in compelling ways? If you answered yes to any of those questions, it clearly means that one of your superpowers is graphic design and we are looking for you! We need people who can help us understand how best to disseminate our story so we can fulfill the mission of SFAR. In this role, you would be supporting the marketing division by creating collateral documents for SFAR.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Create graphic designs that align with organizational goals in order to achieve desired results- Create images that identify a product or convey a message to a particular audience
- Develop design concepts and methods to produce graphic artwork and publishing elements for marketing materials, social media posts, website and newsletter.
- Oversee and participate in a variety of graphic projects from concept to completion
- Work in collaboration with team for technical guidance or to coordinate production of graphic materials
- Provide suggestions and ideas to improve design materials
- Use various technologies and mediums to produce the best graphic works
- Remain updated with new technologies, theories, practices, and techniques related to graphic design
- Maintain database of images and graphic design and artwork as records and future reference
- Manage and deliver graphic projects within established timelines and budget
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Able to maintain open communication while working on various projects

Our mission is to provide refuge for senior animals and animals needing hospice care. We aim to provide education, assistance and support to the public to help people better understand and care for their companion animals. We do more than just rescue, we DRIVE change.
Description
Strawberry Fields Animal Rescue Illinois is a registered 501(c)(3) senior animal rescue serving the Chicagoland area. Senior animals in shelters are most at risk for euthanasia and are often times overlooked. At SFAR we believe all senior animals deserve to live out the rest of their lives in comfort and peace. After two years of hard work and dedication the board of directors came together and the rescue started to take off. SFAR is 100% foster based. SFAR not only rescues senior animals but also strives to educate the public about animal welfare and animal health. We believe rescue and education go hand in hand. SFAR would not function without the help of volunteers. We are still a young organization and are still building our organizational capacity. We are working hard to build a volunteer network so that we have the ability to save more animals. As we grow, we need people like you - who can help illustrate the work that we do each day and can highlight the impact that we have on the animals and the overall community. We need you. We need your brilliance, your drive, your expertise and your passion. It goes without saying that your support in this role would help build the foundation we need to reach new programmatic heights.
