We are a faith based, non sectarian religious organization, who appreciate and welcome people from all backgrounds. We promote unity in diversity, yoga, mantra meditation, and systematic study of Vedic scriptures which addresses many issues relating to mental distresses of life in today's world. We also serve free Vegetarian feast every Sunday to our congregation. Also, we celebrate many festivals and serve homeless people in the community. The reason for strengthening our volunteer team, is to provide support for the above services offered to the community by our institution.

4 Shifts

  • 09:00 AM to 12:15 PM
    Food for life service - Assist in Food preparation for homeless. Twice per month over weekends.
  • 09:00 AM to 10:00 PM
    Periodic festivals (3-4 per year) - Also assist in Tent set up (duration of shift may be shorter)
  • 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM
    Sundays - Preparatory work for assisting in baking
  • 06:00 PM to 08:00 PM
    Sundays - Pot washing

Maintaining structures and systems which facilitate wholesome Vaishnava loving exchanges. 4. Supporting, encouraging and enabling individuals to engage in devotional service to Krishna which match their propensity and capabilities.

Description

We are currently located at 1505 McDowell Road in Naperville, IL on a beautifully landscaped area of 2.8 acres. You are cordially invited to attend any of our programs, especially the Sunday Feast that has energetic kirtan (devotional music of East Indian descent), yoga meditation (chanting the Holy names for inner peace), systematic study of the Bhagavad-gita (a 5000 year-old Vedic classic that has timeless prescriptions for dealing with today’s chaotic world), arotike (Deity worship), and a full-fledged vegetarian feast that is free.
